McDonalds Release McVegan Burger – Would You Try It?

By Matt / October 6, 2017

Attention all vegans, the day has finally come that even the mighty McDonald’s have had to take notice of the vegan movement. With the release of the…. McVegan Burger.

Unfortunately for all you vegans not based in Finland, the imaginatively named burger won’t be available at your local drive-through just yet!

The vegan hamburger is currently being trialed in McDonald’s restaurants in the city of Tampere in Southern Finland.

If you can’t wait to get your hands on this groundbreaking burger then hop on a flight soon as it will only be available in Tampere from October 4th until November 21st.

However, a global McDonald’s vegan burger could soon become a reality if the trial in Tampere goes well…

According to mtv.fi Marketing Director of McDonald’s Finland Christoffer Rönnblad announced that “At least the feedback that we have quickly received, and what reception has been online yesterday and already the other day, it has been quite positive. We are going to be positive in this test”

It comes with the usual hamburger rolls, vegetables, ketchup mustard and even eggless McFeast sauce…

If that wasn’t enough you can order a side of vegan fries to go with it! Rönnblad confirmed with mtv.fi that the McDonald’s fries in Finland are totally vegan… they’re made from potatoes, baked in vegetable oil and cooked in their own pots.

Whether or not you would step foot near a McDonald’s this is definitely a step in the right direction for the vegan movement!
